My career started in my last two years of high school, I doubled down in schooling by finishing my high school and  my LPN degree at the same time, so when I graduated high school, in 1983, I was also graduating nursing school. A year later I started my military career by joining the Army as a medic/LPN. After 4 years of the Army I joined the Indiana National Guards for 3years as a medic NCO (non-commission officer) in charge of the TMC (troop medical clinic) were we focused on basic first-aid, field medical support for units coming into base for annual training, and physicals and immunizing of troops before their deployments. I have held LPN licensure  in the states of Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee. I have worked in a wide range of areas such as NICU, MACU, Heart management floor, Cath Lab holding, along with med/surg and telemetry. I had a little bit of time in geriatrics. Then I started at Galen College for my RN-ASN. For the past three and a half years I've been working as a pediatric home nurse with special needs children. As I further my education thru Galen College for my BSN,  I would like to specialize in either NICU or Cardiology.
